Obama Settles the deal

Its US President Barack Obama who played a vital role enroute Opel's aquisition by the Canadian auto parts group Magna (MGa.TO), General Motors (GM.N) and the U.S. government to save carmaker Opel from the imminent bankruptcy of its U.S. parent.
After 6 long hours of failed talks by Angeline Markel's government it was obama who came to the rescue of Opel.
Down Under :Opel workers favoured Magna over rival suitor Fiat (FIA.MI) even though Magna will cut some 11,000 jobs in Europe, a quarter in Germany. Plants in Belgium and Britain may not survive.
